Our History

The University College of Medicine & Dentistry was established in 2001 as constituent College of The University of Lahore to produce well trained doctors to serve the community. The programs of Medicine and Dentistry are recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, The Government of Pakistan in 2007. Further its name has been included in the Directory of the international medical schools maintained by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) USA.

In a short period of time, the College has grown to achieve an extremely high international standing. The University College of Medicine & Dentistry is a constituent part of the University of Lahore which has risen influential top 550-600 Universities of the world and 171-180 in Asian Universities (QS & Times Higher Education Supplement), confirming us a progressive and world class teaching and research institution. University College of Medicine & Dentistry brings together four teaching hospitals i.e University Teaching Hospital, University Dental Hospital, Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital and Al-Khidmat Hospital.
